This site is devoted to the English-language fandom of the
Japanese manga Eroica Yori Ai O Komete (From Eroica
With Love). It's an assortment of material which I thought
fans might find useful or amusing.
In case you've just wandered in here and aren't sure what it's all
about, From Eroica With Love is a Japanese manga (series of
comic books or graphic novels) by Yasuko Aoike, which has gained a
following in the English-speaking world. It has a mostly
European setting and concerns the adventures of a British aristocrat,
Dorian Red, Earl of Gloria, who moonlights as an international art
thief using the alias "Eroica", and his opposite number, a
German NATO intelligence agent named Major Klaus Heinz von dem
Eberbach. Dorian is flamboyant, swashbuckling, hedonistic, and
cheerfully indifferent to most of society's conventions; he's also
openly homosexual. Klaus is uptight, conservative, duty-driven,
bad-tempered, and so repressed that he probably doesn't know himself
what his sexual orientation is, but he does give some indications
that he's not entirely immune to Dorian's attractions.
This is an automated archive of Eroica fan fiction published on the web or
available by email. The archive contains both files stored on this site and links
to stories elsewhere on the web.
A series of text summaries of the original Eroica manga. Each
story will have a detailed scene-by-scene description of the
plot, plus a few scanned pages from the original to give an
idea of the artwork. This section is in progress, so check back
for new additions from time to time.
A collection of images and descriptions of the clothing worn
by Dorian Red (Eroica) in the manga. They are presented
in order of appearance, story by story. This is also a work in
progress, and will be updated as I complete new material.
A list of Japanese bookstores in the US and UK where you can
order Eroica and other manga.
Descriptions of other works besides Eroica by Yasuko Aoike. Publication
information is included where available, for those trying to find these mangas.
Links to other Eroica-related websites I have found. New
additions always welcome; let me know if you find something you
think should be added.
